Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Our chapter loves to serve the community in which we live and work.
Over the years we have collected toys for the Toys for Tots program, held a PBJ food drive to pack summer food packs for local children, collected spaghetti dinner for families in need, volunteered at Manna Food Bank, volunteered at ABCCM's Christmas Angel shop, collected books for teens, and more.

Making Strides
Our chapter takes to heart the importance of breast cancer awareness, our fraternity's national philanthropy. Every year we have members participate in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Committee. As a chapter we support our fraternity by hosting the survivor tent at the Western North Carolina Making Strides Walk (Formerly known as the Asheville Makings Strides Walk) annually in October. Often members from nearby ZTA alumnae and collegiate chapters join us in our efforts at the walk.
Please join us this October and help us celebrate our survivors, walk alongside those who are currently on their journey to fight breast cancer and their friends and family, or sponsor a survivor giveaway.

Sybil Good Honorary Scholarship
Together with the Hickory, NC Alumnae chapter we provide an undergraduate from our Delta Omicron chapter financial support for her sisterhood journey and academic needs through a special $2,500.00 scholarship made possible through the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. Primarily the candidate is a collegiate sister from Lenoir-Rhyne University (Delta Omicron chapter); however if there are no eligible applicants from the Delta Omicron chapter for the current year, this grant will be awarded to a deserving applicant from another chapter. Please consider donating to the Sybil Good Honorary Scholarship today.
